Steven Brown - Managing Director

Following a 27 years year banking career, of which the last 20 were in the commercial lending arena Steve became a director of a commercial brokerage in 2014 and then set up his own firm in 2018.

By applying the same level of professionalism and lending expertise combined with up to date knowledge of the wider lending market Steve has been able to assist a huge number of clients during this period whilst increasing his completed case numbers and lending volumes every year.

Case sizes range from around £100k to ones above £9m and have been across a wide range of sectors including, but not exclusively, property – both investment and development, healthcare, manufacturing, transport, hotels and leisure. Clients can be individuals, sole traders, LLP’s or limited companies.

Steve places clients at the heart of everything he does and prides himself on the service he provides and delivery of successful outcomes. Whilst receiving introductions from local banks and other finance professionals he is proud that most of his business comes from incremental work for existing clients or referrals from them directly.

Alan Walters - Consultant

Alan worked for almost 20 years for one of the High Street Banks, the last 4 of those were as a Relationship Manager looking after a portfolio of business customers. After a couple of years as a Business Development Manager for an expanding firm of Accountants he set his own consultancy business up in 2003.

During this period, he has specialised in producing business plans and financial forecasts for businesses of all sizes. In most cases the business plan has been produced to help the client access commercial finance and Alan has built up an excellent reputation with both clients and lenders for the quality of the information he provides.

He will continue to deliver this business plan element of his business which will fit perfectly with the ability to now provide a strong, customer-focused commercial finance solution through Eximia Commercial Finance. This service will be available to all types of clients from individuals to limited companies and will cover a wide range of commercial finance opportunities including property development and investment as well as trading businesses across almost all sectors.
